How to play
Each game has ten rounds. Choose the annual salary you think gives the monthly take-home shown. The game then reveals the gross salary, Income Tax and National Insurance. Your score and current streak stay on the page while you play. At the end, you can copy your score.
About the figures
The figures use the 2026/27 rates for England, Wales and Northern Ireland, the standard tax code and one salary, with no pension contribution or student loan. Monthly take-home is the yearly amount after tax and National Insurance divided by twelve. Scottish income tax rates differ, so this game does not include Scottish tax calculations.
