If a figure on this site is wrong, we want to know. We read every report and fix confirmed errors as a priority.

How to report an error

Email [email protected]. The most useful reports say which page you were on, what you entered, what the page showed and what you expected. If you have an official source that shows a different figure, please include the link.

You do not need to send your real salary. Any figure that shows the problem is enough.

What we do with a report

We check the figure against its official source and against our second, independent calculation. If the page is wrong, we fix it, add a test so the same error cannot come back, and list the fix below with the date. If the page is right, we reply to explain why, and we make the page clearer if the wording caused the confusion.

How we keep figures up to date

Tax rates change each April, and sometimes during the year. When they do, we check each new figure against its official source, update our sources list, rerun all our tests and rebuild every page that uses the figure. Pages show the tax year they apply to.
