If your deduction settings already fit a form, changing calculators should have a clear purpose, such as reading the arithmetic with fewer page distractions.

Keep the settings that affect your answer

My Pay Calculator already has the core deduction controls recorded in the direct comparison. Money Worked Out's salary estimate also provides Scottish tax, a code and explicit pension methods.

Compare the working you can follow

Money Worked Out displays the calculation line by line with no adverts or third-party tags in its controlled source. Written working in the two external alternatives is unconfirmed in the selected main-form facts. The methods explanation states the calculation limits.

The band guide and NI threshold guide let you check which base a deduction uses.

Use a separate check for a changed payday

An annual calculator cannot recreate pay and tax earlier in the year. The period-check guide explains the controls required for that task. Switching between annual forms alone may leave the same payroll adjustment unexplained.

The calculators

  1. 1 Money Worked Out

Adverts: No · Third-party scripts: None · Cookie banner: No · Tax year shown: 2026/27

Shows the tax and NI arithmetic with Scottish tax, a tax code and pension-method choices. Uses an annual estimate rather than cumulative payslip reconstruction.

Adverts: Yes · Third-party scripts: 4 found · Cookie banner: Yes · Tax year shown: 2026/27 (dropdown 2022/23 to 2026/27)

How we checked

Each site's main calculator opened in Chrome and its HTML read on the check date. Features are true only when seen in the calculator, false when absent from the calculator, its menu and its sitemap, and unknown otherwise.

Test: £35,000 a year, England, no pension, no student loan, standard tax code, 2026/27. Small differences in the £35,000 test are expected. Money Worked Out uses the £12,579 of tax-free pay that the standard 1257L tax code gives on a payslip, as HMRC's own estimator does. A site that uses the £12,570 Personal Allowance instead shows £1.80 more Income Tax a year.

Checked on 3 October 2026.

Does switching give more core deduction features?

My Pay Calculator and Money Worked Out have the same selected features recorded. This page describes alternatives rather than a missing-feature claim.

Which external replacement handles pro rata hours?

The Salary Calculator has a separate pro rata page with checked hours inputs and deduction controls.

Can historical-year choices solve a current emergency-code issue?

A year selector does not supply a cumulative pay-period model. Match the tax basis as well as the year.

Are no-adverts facts inferred from a quiet screenshot?

Money Worked Out's own source establishes its absence of adverts. External unknowns stay unconfirmed.
