This is information, not advice. Estimates show a possible reduction in Income Tax for 2026/27. HMRC decides whether a claim qualifies and how much relief you receive. This check does not submit a claim.
What this check covers
The estimates cover one UK employment and this tax year only. We ask for your expected taxable pay for the whole year, after any net pay pension or salary sacrifice deductions. Include taxable benefits from your job. Other taxable income, Gift Aid or nonstandard allowances need a separate check.
For uniforms, we use HMRC's fixed expense amount for your job and subtract what your employer reimburses. Everyday clothes, protective equipment and the first cost of buying work clothes are outside this check. Free laundering and partial employer provision can also affect a claim. Some occupation amounts cover clothing and tools together. We do not add separate tool costs or extra clothing allowances.
For mileage, we cover eligible work journeys in one type of vehicle you own or lease yourself. Your normal commute does not count. We subtract your employer's payments from the approved mileage amount. Company vehicles, mixed vehicle types and other travel costs need a separate check.
For a relief at source pension, your provider adds basic rate relief to your pension. We estimate any further reduction in Income Tax separately. The provider's top-up stays in your pension. Contributions must meet the conditions shown in the form. We do not calculate pension annual allowance charges or tell you how much to contribute.
Use your plan
Each estimate uses the same starting pay and pension figures. Do not add the estimates together: claiming one relief can change another. An estimate of zero means these answers produce no extra Income Tax reduction. It does not rule out other help.

Marking an action done records your progress. It does not confirm a claim, refund or saving. Check the official guidance before you claim. If you complete a Self Assessment return, claim through your return.
For a separate calculation, use the uniform tax rebate calculator, mileage relief calculator or pension tax relief calculator. The take-home pay calculator estimates pay after deductions.
